Anthony Branley LLB Admitted in 1984, Anthony is a founding partner
of the practice and the
managing partner. He has extensive experience of general and specialist criminal
defence work. He is a Specialist Fraud Panel supervisor, a duty solicitor and
heads the Crown Court team. His reputation as a criminal defence
lawyer is legendary and on an occasion when a junior member
of staff was at a local police station to represent a person
in custody, a senior officer at the station stated that if
he were ever charged with a serious offence the only solicitor
he would want to represent him is Anthony Branley.
David Onuma LLB An experienced practitioner who was admitted in 1993
and, having started as a Trainee, quickly worked his way up
to partner status. At the beginning of his career he lectured
on advising suspects at the police station and later advocacy
training. More recently he has assisted in training Magistrates on behalf of
the HMCS. David
heads the Magistrates’ court and police station department and is also
the training principal.

Samantha Dewis BA (Hons) Qualified
as a solicitor in 1985, her professional focus has always centred
around family law. Samantha specialises in relationship breakdown,
whether married or co-habiting, divorcing or separating. Her
expertise lies in financial settlements, whether arising as
a result of the breakdown or otherwise. Samantha provides all
her clients with expert but practical advice, always ensuring
clients are given sound but realistic advice in terms of what
they can expect to achieve. She also deals with chilrden cases and injunctions. She is a member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel.

James Appleton LLB
James qualified in May 2007 and six months later was promoted to head our dedicated Prison Law team. He deals with the full range of Prison Law cases including Lifer Parole Reviews; Adjudications; Licence Recalls; Judicial Review challenges arising out of Prison Law issues and Appeals against sentences of imprisonment for public protection.
