Anthony Branley
Anthony qualified in 1984 and as the firm's Managing Partner he is responsible for Quality and Compliance. He is also an experienced criminal lawyer having defended in a number of high profile criminal prosecutions over a period of more than 25 years. His cases have ranged from Murder to White Collar Fraud to Environment Agency Prosecutions relating to the International Shipment of Waste. He is a Crown Court Advocate, our Fraud Supervisor and he heads our Crown Court team.

David Onuma
David trained with us before qualifying in 1993 and becoming a partner in 1998. Well known for his Advocacy, he heads the Magistrates' Courts and Police Station teams whilst also appearing as a Crown Court Advocate. He is the firm's Training Principal. Outside the office David is a leading Martial Artist and a three time European Brazilian Jiujitsu Champion.
Head of Family Law
Samantha Dewis
Samantha qualified in 1985 and is hugely experienced in all aspects of Family Law. She is a member of the Law Society's Advanced Family and Children Law Panels and is a member of Resolution. She conducts much of her own Advocacy and is equally comfortable representing husbands, wives and also children. Whatever the type of Family Law problem you may have she will have experience of it and will offer realistic, confidential advice.
Head of Prison Law
James Appleton
James has headed our Prison Law team since 2007. He deals with all types of Prison Law cases but specialises in the representation of Life Sentence/lPP prisoners. He is an experienced Oral Hearing Advocate and has conducted a number of Judicial Review cases on behalf of prisoners. James is on the Executive Committee of the Association of Prison Lawyers.
